Dear Skunk,
I’m sorry I haven’t written sooner but I’ve been very involved with my final exams. Guess what? I’ve finished with school since 11:00 this morning! I don’t think it sunk in yet. I’m glad I’m done. I can’t take sitting in a classroom in 98oF weather. It’s been hot like that for the past week. I’m sure you don’t want to hear about that. I’ll change to a more interesting subject...
Thanks muchly for Luke and the tapes. They’re really great. I was having a rotten birthday until I came home from school. I walked through the back door and the house was clean (as usual). But when I walked into my room, it was spotless. I was shocked. My room is normally a huge mess. My mom had cleaned it, put flowers on the table and put all of my mail on my dresser next to my bed. Your card and package made perfect timing I would say. Thanks again... really.
I’ve seen Indiana Jones twice already. Once with my grandmother and once with my cousins. I thought it was excellent, but I’m not going to compare it to anything (because I don’t want to get into any trouble.) Although I won’t compare, I will tell you how I liked the characters. I’ll start with Harry. He was superb as usual... I loved his tux! Kate Capshaw’s Willie Scott was also good. I liked her even if the critics didn’t. I think she was the sort of “scapegoat”. Short Round was just terrific... great... fantastic! His character gave the movie a certain pizzazz. He always came back with a snappy remark. He’s really a cute kid. Have you seen Indy II yet? If so, what’d you think? I did a stippling of Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones. I was going to send you a copy this time but I can’t. I’ll send one next time. I have to tell you now that I made his hat too small, his face too fat, and his nose in the wrong place. So much for that.
There was a commercial on tv about a movie that’s coming on this Saturday. I want to watch it to see Harry in long underwear. It’ll be funny. The tux was strange enough. The movie is about bank robbers or something in the Old West. I’ll just be watching it for Harry. Then again, don’t believe everything I write. I like a good movie.
It seems to me that you have a birthday coming up. You better not have thought that I would forget. I have something picked out for you, but you’ll get it late. I’m telling you now, so... I’m really mad at myself for not being able to send it on time. I hope you like pink.
I almost forgot. Did you like the tea tags? I have tons of them. I save them from the trash every chance I get. I’ll send you a couple more.
It’s getting late. I’ll write more tomorrow before the mail is picked up. I’ll tell you about the “real me” if I remember. See ya later! Nighty-night!
